Dinner - sweet sour & oyster sauce meat
|
|
It's been a while since i heated up the wok (maggi mee doesn't count...)
So prepared two dishes...
Since we have loads of pineapple and cucumber, decide to use them.
Need some meat. took some pork out and marinated with oyster sauce, starch, dark sauce, a dash of soya n pepper. No additional salt for that.

Ammache SS15
|
|
After reading SJ Echo's review of Ammache http://www.sjecho.com.my/article/1415 decided to check it out since cousin sister loves banana leaf rice.
UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED
1. THERE WERE ONLY 3 veggies that were given - even so, it was only gourd, potato, brinjal which looked so mashed u didn't know what those were....
2. we had to ask if they had bittergourd, and they only gave us ONE miserable plate (for 5pax)
3. service really SUCKED. The staff didnt know what we wanted when we ask for curries, and wanted to order some more bittergourd.
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS place....
stick to Kanna's, or Nirwana's ... or yr usual banana leaf places....

Loong Foong

Have not been to this place for ages, so when a fren suggest we head there for our annual lou sang dinner, i said YES.
Got there, 3of them were already seated very comfortably.
First dish of course was the yee sang.
After that, the veg (kai lan) came, followed by the guiness pork ribs (Superb dish), the FAMOUS roast duck, sliced fish with spring onion & ginger, cheese baked prawns (YUMMM), chicken with onion rings & beancurd.
Price came up to about RM 500 for the 9 of us. Not too bad. If u feel it's a tad pricey, pls omit the prawns.
Parking can be a hassle there if u reached there after 8pm (especially on peak festive season), so try to be there by 7.45pm LATEST.
