BBQ Chicken, Taipan

First chanced upon it two months back. Was a bit excited as there's another new F&B outlet...
Chatted briefly wif the owners. Hmmm...
Tonight I had a chance to try it out. Ordered the jerk BBQ chicken. It's a set thingy. Whole leg + shrimp fried rice + coleslaw + 2slices of tomatoes.
Waited like 20mins for my food...errrmmm.... quite the slow lar, hor?
Am NOT a fan of raw spring onions as topping on my food, so a bit displeased, plus... AHEM... The spring onion had been chopped since god knows when. was all dried up. hurriedly picked it out and started feasting.
mmmm... I think they just dumped the onions, carrots and 'shrimps' and boiled together with the rice.
Chicken was nice. Had a slight jerky (jeruk?) taste. coleslaw nice too.
Saw the Pat Bing Soo and ordered a regular one.
When It came I was impressed. Had nata de coco, mixed diced canned fruit and choc love letters. MMmmmmm... it's like ice kacang. High class ice kacang. All for RM 5.50.pricing ok. But I loved it... hehee!
Service was good. I had the owner taking my order, and coming by to check if everything was ok.
Will def go there again to try their other stuff.
btw, this is a franchise, so service/food in different outlets may vary a bit ya....

A very happy new year to one and all,
This blog has been on hiatus for a .... god knows how long....
And it will be for now... Cos been truly busy at the new job as well as TRYING very very hard not to pig out, but WORK out at the gym.. hehe!
Wishing all of you a blessed 2008 and may u floggers/foodies find more new makan places with great company and may u continued to be in good health and ... every good wishes la zhung zi....

I really dislike the way some people manipulate other's work...
There have been some idiots online who steal/abuse others' work
EH IF U HAPPEN TO read here hor... Take note and don't be a sod....
Seek courteously permission from owners blog and give due credit.
Most of us floggers haf spend money and time in the food and in writing reviews.
(now u can ask your momma to say tenchu to me for teaching her kids manners on the web)

Work is increasing despite the festive season.. !!!
month of Dec.........
I got craving....
- each time I pass by Italianese in Curve... sei mou.... feel like going in and whacking a plate of their lovely bread (wif olive oil + vinegar) and a plate of pasta...
- my banana crumble ....
- steamed chicken rice wif taugeh
- avocado coffee
- Sashimi
Actually the list can kontinue n kontinue...
Think I better just concentrate on looking at pikchures oni la... keekekke!!!
friends and family are already back in town and can't wait to meet up wif us...*die..that means catching up over MEALS* heheheh!!!

Helloooooooo peeps
just a note... I'm still alive n well...
Been truly busy wif work. Not much involved wif the eating festivities and getting in contact with frens n foodies... sigh... Life is such.
But of late... I've been craving much for chicken rice, pan mee...
And just coupla weeks back went to this place Waroeng Penyet (an Indonesian F&B outlet) in Curve (same floor as Kim Gary) - loved it. Try it out if you're there nex time.

Had the Korean BBQ steamboat in Bkt Tinggi today...
FIRST time going there. I've seen that big green .... 'dragon' in front of the outlet in Pimid and 1Utama... But didn't even give a hoot about it. (this was fren suggestion)
I didn't like the idea to these kinda place./... and as soon as I sat there I was like... bluerghhh!!! But the company was great la. So it was ok...
First they brought the utensils.... bowls etc... and then the sauce and condiments - garlic n cili padi...Ughhhh!!!
Then we ordered the family mixed meal (for 3-4pax)
Then the stove n pot came. I was like.. Hah ? so SHALLOW la the place storing water (for steamboat soup)
I will not go to that joint again on my own...
